Our commitment to nature and the environment is the thing we are most proud of in our garden centre .
We started our plastic free, peat free, chemical free journey back in 2017 ! We took a leap of faith and banned chemical weed killers and insecticides from our shop entirely.
We have stopped selling plastic pots and you are most welcome to use our free pot recycling scheme where you can drop off or pick up preloved pots.
To protect peat bogs we have opted to only sell peat free compost which is available as a refill…..yes refill compost, who knew! Well we did and it was so cool that we now do refill liquid feeds in returnable glass bottles… could it better than that? Well yes, it can. We are also developing a wild flower meadow that covers 5 acres of rewilding, Cornish apple trees, a nature pond and bee hives right here, behind the garden centre and in conjunction with Beach Guardian.
